“Pólvora Negra” Soundtrack LP released this Sunday on Vinyl Fair in Vila Madalena

The soundtrack for the feature film “Pólvora Negra” (or Black Powder) directed by Kapel Furman will be released on vinyl by Clube do Vinil SP Records this coming Sunday 30/10/2011 on the Vinyl Fair for Vila Madalena in São Paulo.

The music was composed by Alan Ferres, best know for his drumming skills behind the kit with Rock Rocket. Recorded in his home studio on a 6 track AKAI 1/4″ tape recorder, the all instrumental score inspired by the film is infused with influences of Ry Cooder, Neil Young guitars, the raw sounds of The Cramps and the psychodelic nuances of Lula Côrtes and Zé Ramalho “PAEBIRU”.

The LP also includes participations from Paraíba Zefirina Bomba, Rock Rocket, André Zaccarelli, Renata de Bonis and the trio Os Pólvoras Negras, formed of Alan Feres himself, Zé Mazzei from the “Forgotten Boys” and Paulo Soares from “Baoba Stereo Club”.

Check out the video for the track “Shark Attack” with images from the film on Youtube here.

Vinyl Land Records will be represented in the fair by Locomotiva Discos, who are the first store in Brazil to carry the new releases from the label, including records from TulipaBnegão, Karina Buhr, Fusile and Lê Almeida.
